This region of North Georgia has a wealth of unique destinations and one-of-a-kind sights to take in while you're here. From the breathtaking Chattahoochee National Forest to the region's many orchards and wineries, this area is a sightseer's dream. Make sure to check with the local operators in advance for details and schedules. Some of these are seasonal operations that might be closed during certain times of the year. Chattahoochee National Forest, Vogel State Park and Brasstown Bald, Blairsville, GA
The Chattahoochee National Forest covers almost 750,000 acres and spans 18 Georgia counties. Our part of the forest is home to Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. It contains the headwaters of every major river in North Georgia, and offers hundreds of waterfalls, mountain lakes and dales, and abundant wildlife. Vogel State Park, within the borders of the Chattahoochee National Forest, is Georgia's second oldest state park.

Southern Tree Plantation, Blairsville, GA
